With the vision to update the Medical Imaging Technology in the medical professions in Iran, Tajhizat Pezeshki PISHRAFTEH (TPP) was established in 1987 by a team of engineers with almost 25 years of experience in the servicing and maintenance of medical equipment. Following 5 years of successful work, in 1992 General Electric Healthcare, one of the world’s most advanced manufacturers of medical imaging systems, appointed TPP as its sole Iran distributor and aftersales service provider. In 2000, the company built its factory in the industrial city of Hashtgerd, in the vicinity of 100 km from the capital Tehran. The factory area is about 6000 square metres. In a stride to transfer technical know-how into the country, TPP initiated the production of 400 GE ultrasound imaging systems in Iran
